"whew~" That was close, but not that close.
I nearly got infected, again.
I never had phobias on insects, reptiles or any other creepy-crawlies, in fact, I find most of them fascinating - except those endlessly replicating intruders that would unfortunately find their way into the kitchen or on my epidermis (which dirty cuticles I'll never hesitate to whack & crush) - but lately, I'm all vulnerable to a particular species of bugs.
Invisible, surreptitious and unforeseeable, these mutants, controlled by a bunch of evil geniuses somewhere in our crazy planet, would bite into your software and render it obsolete. Its common name: virus. Habitat: the WWW. Reproduction method: Unique depending on their mad creators' intellect, degree of insanity, and conquest. Symptoms: When anything in your pc doesn't act normal. Cure: None of that I know, so far vaccinations ie. Norton, Kaspersky etc. anti-virus softwares are available in affordable prices in the market. Unless your blessed with hacking abilities, or know how to overwrite these imprecations, your sole option is to reformat your pc. And it costs you.
My fear of these bugs graduated from numerous experiences. These days, I'd ensure the anti-virus detection software is activated before I go online, or else I would have been infected by a bug minutes ago and would be temporarily isolated from the cyberworld.
Dear friends,
I believe most of you had already installed a buffer. Just be a bit more wary, in case. (Burn yourself a backup copy in a DVD) 'Coz the consequence would be a super-big-headache.
